Christmas Eve was spent with the Ware side of the family this year. Their family tradition finds us eating all sorts of great food like crab legs, ribs, meatballs etc. on a blanket in the front room. We all had a great time. We then
proceeded to unwrap gifts from
each other and Grandma Betty. It was fun to spend time with the family over the holidays.

The answer is my leg! I finally had knee surgery on the 7th to reconstruct my ACL that I tore last January. Things went smoothly-other than a little post-anesthesia vomiting. My pain seemed fairly well controlled. I slept a lot, and thanks to the narcotics and breastfeeding; Ayden did too! Kipp was an amazing nurse/homemaker/father. He had to go back to work after two days off, but made sure I was taken care of. He packed a cooler with ice, soda, water, yogurt, pudding, sandwiches; not to mention the things that didn't need to stay cold-crackers, chips, fruit, cookies! He came home from work and accused me of not eating-no honey-just couldn't eat a whole kitchen worth. He loaded the bed with diapers, toys and extra clothes for Ayden. Ayden and I spent a few days in bed. It worked out great. We also had several great neighbors bring us wonderful dinners every day of the week! And I received countless calls and visits from concerned friends and family. I am so lucky to have so many wonderful people in my life to pick up the pieces when I just can't do it myself. Thanks all!
