Lake Powell

We had a wonderful time in Lake Powell. We spent a lot of time relaxing and enjoying the fabulous weather and water. Here are Kipp and Ayden getting ready to go on Ayden's first jet ski ride.

Hanging out on top of the houseboat wathching lightning in the distance

Ayden enjoyed steering the boat

We also played a little ball...

Ayden cried every time we put him in the water-little stinker! But by the end of the week he only cried for the first minute as long as we got him in the shade.

Eating junk food and playing games-an essential part of Powell. Yahtzee was the hit of the trip.

Just being a cheese ball! The only thing he would eat the entire week was fruit. Imagine the diapers!

Chillaxin'

Most of Ayden's trip was spent in a diaper. He loves being naked!

BBQ and Fireworks

On Sunday night we had a few friend over to enjoy a BBQ. Great food and great company-couldn't ask for more!
Ayden smiling as he demonstrated walking back and forth on the furniture.
Jackson is a ham for the camera. Sadie in the background is wondering "what's wrong with this kid?"
Here are the babies watching the adults enjoy the sparklers. The looks on their faces are either saying: "wow-what are those sparkly things?" or "wow-my parents better never do that once I'm a teenager!" Ayden surprisingly enjoyed the fireworks. He started out trembling (but not crying) and couldn't take his eyes off them, and later seemed to be comfortable with this new experience.

Independence Day

We had a fabulous 4th of July. We started out the day by going boating with the Allen's and the Rothe's. We had a great time. Ayden wasn't too sure about his life jacket and the "cold" water (which was 70 degrees), but took a couple of naps on the boat and had a great time!
On our way back from the lake, we picked a up Apollo Burger and had a great picnic on the grass in the neighborhood. We had a great time visiting, eating and watching the neighbors' illegal fireworks.

Here is Ayden swinging at the end of the day. A little sunburned and exhausted. Can you tell?

Is Your Baby Doing the Worm Yet?

It seems like all of us mothers get a little caught up in comparing our children. We may feel at times that our child is behind or a little ahead. Well, I hate to break it to all of you but my child is miles ahead of the game. Ayden decided to bypass the crawling and go straight to break dancing! He does his own version of the worm. He has been doing this for awhile, but I finally recorded it.
