Meeting Old St. Nick

Some of our darling friend invited us over one evening in December to meet the big, jolly man himself. Ayden was so excited! I was worried he would be scared, but he did great!
Colby, on the other hand, was a different story. Not so much a fan of the jolly guy!

Oh Joy!

Joy School for me, wasn't always filled with complete joy! ;) Yet, there were some really fun times with those monkeys-and the kids sure had a great time! One of the things that I really did love about Joy School were all of the great ideas of activities that I got that I could do with Ayden that we still do. Some great ways to spend our afternoons-especially when it is bad weather out.

Thanksgiving Point Lights and Reindeer

We did the little drive through Thanksgiving Point lights this year. The boys loved it. They stuck their heads out the sunroof the entire time and looked at all of the lights. After the drive, we went to see the reindeer and have a little treat and hot chocolate.Playing with our foodCrazy boy

Snow Days

We had such a fun day spent in the snow a few days before Christmas! We went sledding, built a snowman and shoveled (a less fun activity). I was surprised by how well Colby did in the snow. He just sat at the top of the sledding hill and watched everyone. When I was strapping Ayden into his car seat after sledding he said, "That was a fun day mom!"My sister-in-law Janae and her darling kidsAll the munchkins piled on the sled. One of the times they went down the hill, they hit a nice big jump and got some good air! I thought we would for sure have some tears, but everyone was all smiles! I thought I might wet my pants I was laughing so hard!Proud of their perfect snowman! (Literally perfectly round-I don't think Janae has ever done anything in her life that she didn't do perfectly!)All the cousins snuggling on Grandma's couch after coming in from the snow

We purchased a small snow shovel-and Ayden has become a big help! He helped Kipp shovel our driveway as well as his home teaching families one Sunday afternoon. I thought for sure he would be back in the house after ten minutes, but he totally lasted the entire time!

Randomness

A bit ago, my friend Laura and I were talking in the kitchen and realized that our boys whom were upstairs had gotten way too quiet and must be up to no good. So we book it upstairs and we find this... Our cute boys had made themselves a little tea party. Too funny!
The other day, I had a one of these suckers in my hair. Ayden must have thought it looked quite stylish, so he put one on himself. Crazy boy!

Sever weeks ago, we watched Boston and Lilah until a little later one night. So we got the kids in jammies, popped popcorn, and turned on a movie. Ayden thought it was the greatest thing ever! Since then he has been asking for a "Jammie Party" and even asking us to tell him a story about a "Jammie Party."
These boys are the best of buds!
One evening in November, we decided to spend the night up in Park City. This is Ayden being goofy with the sombreros at Baja Cantina

Family Pictures

We had our pictures done by a great gal named Jeni Boston. She is darling and fabulous with the kids! I was really happy with the way they turned out!

Trick or Treat!

We had a little alien and a Buzz Lightyear at our house for Halloween this year. Ayden really enjoyed trick-or-treating this time around, even though it was freezing cold. Colby sat in the stroller and cruised around. I gave him a kit kat and didn't hear much more from him!
Ayden and Boston were both Buzz Lightyear and they were so darn cute trick-or-treating together! They held hands as they marched from house to house to collect their goodsThis pic was taken at our Joy School Halloween party. Cute little monkey
