Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter Sunday. The Easter bunny visited our house (thanks to Kipp). We ate dinner with my family and it was amazing. Poor Ayden had yet another photo shoot!

All he really wanted to do was eat the ears
My sister Celeste and Ayden in their cute Easter clothes This has nothing to do with Easter, but when Ayden was sick-this is how I found him (he slept until 11 that morning-and only because the camera flash woke him up). Darn cute!

This is Ayden's new toy. Since he has been sitting up on his own, he has been enjoying things that he can play with while he is showing off his new accomplishment.

I think I am going to be SICK!

Yes-that is a snot bubble! Poor Ayden was sick this last week. On the morning of the worst of it he just laid in my arms and moaned. Poor guy! Being broken hearted-I babied him and held him for a couple of days. He is still congested but feeling obviously better. But now I have a monster on my hands. He is needy and wakes up way too many times in the middle of the night! What happened to my baby?!
The snot just keeps coming and coming!

Congrats Kacie!

My cute cousin Kacie got hitched on the 14th! We are so excited for her. She looked amazing and her dress was beautiful! Her husband Taylor seems like a great guy and we can't wait to get to know him better. We just love the Kofoed family and love opportunities to get together!

Playing with the Carlisle's!

When my brother Brandon and his wife Janea come to town from Vegas-we try to play as much as we can. It always ends up being a weekend full of bowling, climbing, Boondocks, shopping and way too many late nights. But we always have fun and wish they could come more often!

Janae and Mason. She is pregnant and due in June with a baby girl-you can hardly tell she is prego! Nicole and Ayden

This is my niece Avery. I laughed so hard when she made this face for the picture. I can't help but think of the Olsen twins-how they purse their lips and make their cheekbones stand out. Hilarious! I think she has been looking at too many tabloids!Ryan and his girlfriend Jessa

New Best Friends

Ayden and I have both made new friends this week. We have been meaning to get a bouncer for Ayden, but after he went to two of my friend's homes who had this bouncer-we knew we had to get one. He had so much fun. So we ordered this bouncer from Target. I was so excited when it finally came, only to find that they sent us the wrong one! I was so disappointed. So after some calls, we got another one on the way. Three days later-my new best friend arrived! Ayden will sit in it for awhile without getting upset.

Now for Ayden's new friend. There is a little toy sun on the bouncer that he loves. He will pull on it, bite it, and sit and smile at it. What would we do without our friends?

Neglectful Parenting

The other night Kipp and I were being really great parents. We were playing Wii with some friends and obviously not watching Ayden super closely. I have never needed to strap him into his swing-but I guess I need to start! We turn around and our child is hanging out of the swing. Sorry the video is the wrong way-I don't know how to flip it. An example of great parenting!

P.S. the best thing about this video is you can hear Kipp in the background getting after me for standing in the way of the TV. Classic!

Play Dates!

Although Ayden is really not old enough to know or to care-he often gets to play with his friends. Really it is for the moms, but why not snap a few pics of our kids "playing" together. The time is so welcomed to spend with some other adults-usually we get together with a purpose in mind-but end up talking the entire time.
I have been meaning to post these pictures for awhile now. This was in December when Erin came up for Christmas. We all got together with our little ones. Here are the boys in the group. Isaac, Mason and Ayden. They don't know it yet-but they are going to be great pals.

Here are some of Ayden's friends in the neighborhood. Ayden, Ryan and Marina.Even thought Marina is not looking at the camera in this one-I had to post it because of Ayden's face. This is actually just after he rolled over for the very first time. I think he is proud of himself!
