Happy Birthday Kippy!

Kipp turned the big 2-7 on Monday, and although I wasn't the best wife and planned something great for him, our families took good care of him.

Here we are at dinner with my family at Ruby River.

Am I Crazy?

I find myself taking a picture of my child in the grocery cart in the middle of the aisle at Albertson's. I didn't really think about it being an odd thing, until I got a funny look from a few people further down the aisle. I guess it is a little weird, but he was having so much fun helping hold the peanut butter in place and chewing on the bag of carrots, that I thought I should get a picture. I have turned into a picture-happy, proud mom!

You call this Spring?

This is Ayden last Saturday when we were outside doing some yard work and putting together some patio furniture. It was so cold I had to bundle him up like it was winter again. I am so sick of the weather!

This is just after we pulled off his hat-quite the do!

Kipp thought I was crazy for taking a picture of him putting together furniture-okay I probably am!

Ayden's new thing is chewing on his clothes. At any time he will have part of his shirt hanging out of his mouth.

Another Bully

Someone who Ayden can play with that grabs at him too! I babysat my coworker Jeremy's daughter Addison. She was darling, but she didn't let Ayden get away with anything. If he pulled on her-she pulled right back! I think that these two might make either really good play mate, or horribly bad ones!

Go Hawks!

Fill this out about your SENIOR year of high school! The longer ago it was, the more fun the answers will be!! It is fun and enjoyable...

1. Did you date someone from your school? Sure did. Spencer Beesley off and on for a while.

2. Did you win anything in Senior's Who's Who? Don't think we had that.

3. What kind of car did you drive? A sweet smurf-blue Honda Hatchback. We called it the Blue Dart! On several occasions my guy friends played pranks on my car. Many days I would get comments from people like, "Nice parking job Chels!" "Did you have to take up three spots this morning?" Well at the end of the day, I would go to my car finding that someone had rotated the front or the back of the car so that I was in several different spots. Another time I came out of my friend's house to find my car encased in snow. Snow shoved under the car, around the tires, up the sides and over the top. I slept at my friend's house that night. And many memorable drives through the car wash (five in one night-then off to the manual wash where they ended up coming to help me clean it).

4. It's Friday night...where are you? Probably a football game or at one of my friends cabins. We always had such a fun time on the ATVs and BBQing. taking car of my car. On several occasions my guy friends destroyed my car either by totally encasing my car in the snow so I had to dig it out or by completely covering it in chocolate syrup, ketchup, flour and other condiments.

5. Were you a party animal? Not really into the parties, but it was always a party with my crazy friends!

6. Were you considered a flirt? Oh yes, my friends thought I was scandalous. On multiple occasions one of my friends was mad at me for flirting with their boyfriend or crush. I think it was just my fun-loving personality ;)

7. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir? None

8. Were you a nerd? YES! I was in a lot of AP and Honors classes. The thing that I think made me nerdy was my inability to ditch class. I was way too responsible. Wish I could have carried those habits over to my freshman year of college!

9. Did you get suspended/expelled? Absolutely not!

10. Can you sing the fight song? I would think I could-but any time I try the BYU fight song comes out! Rise and shout the Cougars are out! I can't help it. I do remember the last line though.

11. Who were your favorite teachers? Mrs. Hughes-although tough-I learned a ton from her. Also can't forget Mrs. Walker and my honors English teacher my senior year. Can't remember her name. Started with a "B"-she was hilarious!

12. Where did you sit during lunch? Never stuck around for lunch-Wendy's drive through. Unless Kort got her way and then it was off to McDonald's. An occasional trip to Little Caesar's.

13.What was your school's full name? Alta High School

14. School mascot? Hawk

15. Did you go to Homecoming and who with? My senior year I went with the guy I had a crush on since 7th grade. Danny Stanworth. I was planning on this being the first date of a long relationship leading to a wedding of course. I ended up being so nervous that I was quiet and awkward the whole night.

16. If you could go back and do it again, would you? If I could keep the exact same friends again-maybe just have more confidence and know who I was a little more.

17.What do you remember most about graduation? It was soooo long! I remember sitting next to Casey Chow. Out of his graduation robes comes a bag of chips and a Mt. Dew. Thanks for sharing Casey! Can't forget Pepperwood Party!

18. Where did you go senior skip day? I think I finally managed to ditch towards the end of senior year-I think we ended up going to the pool.

19 Were you in any clubs? Drill team. We were at school at 5:30 in the morning everyday! What was I thinking?

20. Have you gained some weight since then? Oh heavens-gained! I used to be mini!

21. Who was your prom date? Brett Tolley-we had a great time.

22. Are you planning on going to your 10 year reunion? Sure-I love seeing people from the past. Even if they were people I wasn't especially fond of. I think most people have changed for the better and matured since high school.

I tag everyone I went to high school with that read this. It was really fun sitting down and remembering things from back in the day!

My next investment

So far this week I think I have done about 12 loads of laundry (including a poopy outfit that is rinsed out and waiting to be a part of load number 13). Ayden has been sick off and on since Monday morning when I got home from work. Throwing up here and there and diarrhea here and there. Unfortunately being the age that he is, he is unable to give warning or aim to any of the explosions that he is participating in, resulting in messes all over his bed, my bed, and other various parts of the house. At this time I only have one set of sheets for my bed. I have found this a little inconvenient before when doing laundry, I have to make sure that I do the sheets first so that they are dry and ready to put back on the bed before we go to bed. Now I have found that it is an absolute must to have a second set. Mark my words-that is the next purchase!

My agressive child

When Ayden is with other kids, he is always grabbing them. Whether it is a face or an arm, he has got a hold of them somehow. I hope I am not raising a bully!
