Red handed...or white handed

We had an excellent, uneventful shopping trip to Harmons the other day. Or so I thought until I looked at Ayden when we pulled up to the checkout line. This is what I found...Apparently powdered donuts are stored on a shelf at just the right height for little boogers to swipe!

Christmas

Here are my boys in their Christmas church attire. Nothing special-but I do love little boy's ties!
Me and my boys. I am in lounge clothes that I change into quickly after church. About two seconds after I got a couple of pictures of these boys-Ayden's tie was off. Like mother, like son?

We had dinner with Kipp's fam the Sunday before Christmas. Grandma Betty had some fun games for the kids to play. They loved it-can you tell?
This is our annual Breakfast with Santa. This year we did it on Christmas Eve. It was a lot of fun as always! Thanks Grandma Betty!
My sister-in-law Cami and her cute familyGrandma Betty and all of the grandkids. In only a couple of years we have managed to match the amount of girls to the amount of boys!
Our pathetic attempt to get a picture of all of the kids.
Colby and his darling cousin Emma holding him. These girls are such good helpers!
I was so proud of Ayden this year-He didn't cry when he sat on Santa's lap! The day before I tried to prepare him. I said, "Ayden when you sit on Santa's lap he is going to say, 'Ho, Ho, Ho! Ayden, what do you want for Christmas?' Ayden's response:"poop!" Really? Are we already to that stage?
Ayden checking out his stocking on Christmas morning
Santa brought Colby a Bumbo seat
My Crazy brother RyanMy sister Celeste and my cute boys in their matching Christmas jammies
The hit present was one my sister brought for her little boy-a box of Kleenex he could go crazy with. He loved it-and Ayden quickly joined in.
Poor Uncle Ryan's back probably ached after a week of hanging out with Ayden. Ayden want him to throw him in the air every opportunity he got.
We had such a wonderful Christmas! We are so greatful for all that we have at this special time of year and the wonderful people we have in our lives to share it with!

Princess and the Frog

We took Ayden to his first movie a couple of weeks ago. Overall he did pretty darn well. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was a darling movie with great company.

Ayden with some cute friends. Ayden was sitting on the turtle and Boston was really enjoying his popcorn. Marina was the only one really doing what she was supposed to.
Ayden is trying to hold Marina's hand in this picture. She wasn't interested.

Zoo Lights

Cold. Very cold.
We headed up to Hogle Zoo for zoo lights. Our dear friend Annie and her darling boys joined us. It is a fun idea-but a little disappointing. There were no animals out! I thought that they would have the different indoor areas open-nope. The only thing that we saw that night were tigers. We also chose one of the coldest nights to go up. I think it was 17 degrees. Afterwards our little fam went to Ruth's Diner. I had some delicious tomato artichoke soup.
Overall a fun night together!

You be the judge...

Today Ayden and I were making cookies. He climbed up on the stool and found the empty cookie sheets that had not yet had the dough placed on them. The conversation went like this:

Ayden: "Uh-oh! Tookies-are you?" (Translation-"Cookies-where are you?)
Me: Playing along, "Cookies-where are you? Uh-oh! What should we do?
Ayden: "Oh Toodles!" (in a sing-song voice)
Me: Trying to hide my laughter, "Which mouskatool should we use? The cookie one?"
Ayden: "Yesh!" (Throwing his hands in the air) (Translation-"Yes!")

This is Toodles
It comes when Mickey Mouse needs something to help him solve a problem. Mickey calls out, "Oh Toodles!" Then he chooses one of the "Mouskatools" to help him out.
I will often turn on Playhouse Disney for Ayden while I am feeding Colby and while I am showering and getting ready for the day. I think he must be tuning in a little too often, don't you? :)

Blessings!

Two years ago I made a post by this same title. We blessed Ayden Thanksgiving weekend two years ago, and this time it was Colby's turn. It was a beautiful blessing! We had wonderful family and friends here. Especially at this time of year-isn't that what it is all about? I am extremely grateful for all of the wonderful people in my life. I am so blessed with the opportunity to be a mom. It is the most challenging and rewarding thing I have ever been a part of. (I think when they are a little older I will see the rewards more than the challenges ;) ) And I am blessed with a wonderful, patient husband who puts up with my ever-changing emotions on this roller coaster we call life! Thank you!
