Summer Fun

We had a great July 4th holiday weekend! We spent part of the 3rd at the Lehi pool with some friends. Ayden had a great time splashing around with his pals. What a great pool for any age! Even Kipp had a great time acting like a 5 year old-spraying kids with water guns and going down the slide. That evening we headed over to the Riverton Carnival. Ayden was initially excited about the rides that he saw-although was pulled off all of the rides that he went on because he was crying and tried to stand up. The best part is that after the worker would hand him to me, Ayden would look back at the ride and say "Weeee!" Kipp was not impressed with his son's behavior-and called him a baby several times. It was funny. Before:After:(hard to see his face-but trust me-he was crying)The look that Kipp gave Ayden several times when he was pulled off the ride earlyBefore:After:Although Ayden didn't like the rides, he was a fan of cotton candy!Ayden and his pal Marina

Cheeeeeese!

Ayden will actually look at the camera again-only because he learned to say "cheese!" When he sees me pull out the camera, he gives a quick glance my way, squints his eyes and says cheese!

Real Game

On Saturday night we went to the Real game to watch my little sister Celeste dance at halftime. We had never been to a Real game before and it was a lot of fun. We also left Ayden with a babysitter for the first time ever! Isn't that funny? He is 21 months old and he has only ever been watched by family before.

Aloha!

We just got back from a wonderful trip to Maui! We had a great time with Kipp's whole family. We spent all day, every day in the water. As for me, mostly at the pool-which I don't mind because I really don't like the sand and salt water-lame, I know! Ayden HATED the beach! We thought that by the end of the week that he would get used to it-nope!
Ayden and Kipp at the pool.
Kippy at the beach-just finished boogie boarding
Ayden at the beach (notice on the grass-not the sand)
Still on the grass!

One of the things we fell in love with-this salsa from Costco. We ate 7 containers of it during the week!

Everything is BIGGER in Texas!

We just got back from a great trip to see our dear friend Erin in Texas. My friend Mel and I and our boys started our journey last Saturday. It was an adventure getting through security at the airport as single mothers-but it was all worth it! We had a great, laid back week playing in Dallas, Texas. Our week was full of walks, playgrounds, shopping, cattle drives, BBQ, Mexican food, swimming, naps, movies and late night visits. We had such a great time! Thanks Erin and Jimmy for your hospitality!
At the Dallas Forthworth airport, Mel and I had a good laugh at the chicken place we grabbed some lunch at. There was a option on the menu for a "breast substitution" for a dollar more-is that all it costs in Texas? Afterall-everything is bigger in Texas!

We spent one afternoon in the backyard with a blow-up pool. We thought it may entertain the kids for 20 minutes or so-3 hours later, we ended up bathing them in the pool and then sticking them in bed! I love this picture of Ayden's belly!

Poor Ayden got his mother's bum!
Hannah after coming up from a cold drink of water from the pool-I love this face! One of our playground trips was to this amazing park with a huge wooden playground. It was darling! This kids had a blast!Isaac playing peek-a-boo!

We are grateful for such great friends! Ayden is going to think I am the most boring person now that he has had these fun kids to play with! Thanks again guys!

About Time!

I have been really bad at the blogging thing lately-but I am determined to do better! These are just some funny pictures we have snapped recently.
The other day when I was making my nephew Cael his bottle, I left him in the bouncer. This is what I found when I came back...

I guess Ayden thought Cael looked like he was having fun-and wanted to be a part of it too. Cael didn't seem to mind too much!

We also went to the farm at Thanksgiving Point. Ayden was a little nervous around the animals. I would give him the food to feed the animals, and he would either throw it at them from a distance to walk to the trash and throw it away. When it came time for the pony ride-I was pleasantly surprised that he actually liked it and didn't get too freaked out. And of course Ayden loved lunch-well at least the cookie he had with his lunch.
